Greener Village is a community food centre that increases food security in the Fredericton Area through its inclusive programs and services. The centre serves as a gathering place to nurture health and wellness. In partnership with the community, they aim to develop the life skills and supportive relationships that will strengthen the ability for the community to look after one another. Each month the centre helps over 1000 families (approximately 3000 people, 39% of which are children). They believe that access to healthy food is a basic human right. Their Four Pillars are: Food Bank and Clothing Boutique; Teaching Kitchen; Community Gardens; Education.
