Occupational Health and Safety
A healthy and safe workplace promotes, protects and enhances the physical and psychological health, safety and well-being of employees. This can involve addressing factors in the workplace related to how work is carried out (e.g. policies, procedures, workload) and the physical and social environments in which this work happens (e.g. relationships with managers, interactions with customers, safe worksites)
When leaders in an organization ensure that employees feel valued and are involved in decisions and work in safe, healthy workplaces, they are more likely to be productive, committed to and satisfied with their work. Everyone benefits from workplace health and safety.
